We are underway with the basketball season. Here is a situation that you need to figure out.

A #10 is dribbling the ball in the front court when it strikes his foot and rolls away from him. B #5 attempts to recover the loose ball and after he touches the ball, is subsequently pushed (not intentional) to the ground by A #2. Team B is in the bonus.

What is the ruling?

 A.Common foul by A #2 and B #5 will shoot 1 & 1.
B.Team control foul by A #2, Team B will have a throw-in nearest the spot of the foul.
C.No foul on A #2, incidental contact because it is a loose ball.
 D.Team control foul by A #2 and Team B will shoot 1 & 1.

Bump, set, spike!

Those words will be bellowed soon when volleyball practices begins.

To get you prepared for the volleyball season, here is a game situation to think about:

Team S is serving and Team Rs back row setter moves to her setting position by the net.

Team R's first pass goes into the plane of the net and is attacked by Team S's left front.

Team R's setter, in an attempt to set the ball, leaps near the net. The ball was hit into the setter while her hands were above the net and subsequently lands in bounds on Team S's side.

What do you have? You make the call.

A.Legal play by the setter, point for Team R
B.The setter is an illegal back row blocker, point for Team S
C.Illegal attack by the left front player from Team S, point for Team R
 D.Double fault, replay the point
