Saint Croix Lutheran senior Aaron Zoellner, a wide receiver/defensive back, had a stellar game for the Crusaders against Glencoe-Silver Lake in the Class 3A state quarterfinals at Macalester College. Aaron caught an 80-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage, finished with three catches for 124 yards and forced a fumble that was crucial in St. Croix Lutheranís 38-35 victory.

The Crusaders, playing at state for the third year in a row, will meet Proctor in the semifinals Saturday at the Metrodome.

Aaron has a 3.7 GPA while taking several Advanced Placement classes and scored a 32 on the ACT exam. He is the student body vice president as well as a captain of the basketball and track teams. He volunteers with his schoolís National Honor Society chapter with roadside cleanup, blood drives and other community activities.
