Championship Game

Lakeville/Burnsville/Farmington 6, Dakota United 3

In a back-and-forth battle, the CI Adapted Soccer State Tournament Championship was claimed by the Lakeville/Burnsville/Farmington Blazing Cats, who defeated the Dakota United Hawks by a score of 6-3. Sophomore Caden Roseth would get the Blazing Cats on the board first with a goal assisted by teammate Miller Hertaus. They would not look back from there, holding onto a lead for the remainder of the game. A goal from Shane Baker made it 2-0 in favor of the Blazing Cats, but the Hawks would cut that lead in half before the break with a goal from Myles Johnson.

The teams traded goals to start the second half, but the Blazing Cats would later score three unanswered goals that propelled them to victory. Roseth led all players in the game with four goals and an assist. Hertaus and Baker had the other two goals for Lakeville/Burnsville/Farmington.

In addition to Johnson’s goal for the Hawks, sophomore Mark Manwarren and junior Thomas Christopherson would also score. Sophomore goalie Kyle Jacobson was particularly busy in net, making 25 saves for the Hawks throughout the game.

Third Place Game

The Pirates scored two goals early in the first half and would lead 5-2 at the intermission. Their offense kicked into gear in the second frame, as they outscored the Shooting Stars 9-3 to secure the 14-5 win.

Senior Miracle Kromah provided an offensive spark for the Pirates, scoring a team-high eight goals in the win. Junior Gaetano Sanders also had multiple goals in the game for Park Center, finishing with three.

Consolation Final

Stillwater Area 14, South Suburban 6

In the Consolation Championship the Stillwater Ponies met the South Suburban Jets, with the Ponies coming away with a 14-6 victory. The Ponies took an early 2-1 lead, but would score the final five goals of the first half to lead 7-1 at the break.
