The Minnesota State High School League's football season comes to a crescendo on Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25 when seven championship games will be played in Prep Bowl XLI at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.
Day 3 of the Minnesota State High School League's Football State Tournament semifinals were completed on Saturday, Nov. 18 at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis. All berths in the Prep Bowl Championship Games on Nov. 24 and Nov. 25 have been filled.
Traditions of excellence continued at the 2023 Girls Swimming and Diving State Meet as Visitation and Edina again claimed team titles. This was Visitation’s 14th championship and Edina’s 19th. The Hornets also set the only all-time state meet record in the 200 medley relay.
It was another great year for the Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville Cats. They finished with a perfect record of 11-0 and claimed their third consecutive CI championship. In PI, the Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound Westonka Robins (10-0) improved on last year’s runner-up showing to claim their 10th title.
When games are played, things can go exceptionally right or terribly wrong. Under the best of circumstances, lessons are learned, lessons that go way past sports and deep into life.
Monticello captured the fastest time in four Class A events in the swimming preliminaries of the 2023 Girls Swim and Dive State Meet. In Class AA, Minnetonka had the best preliminary time in five events.

All four of the top seeds advanced to the semifinals in the PI and CI Divisions of the 2023 Adapted Soccer State Tournament. Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound Westonka and Minneapolis South advanced in PI and St. Cloud Area and Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville advanced in CI.
