Longtime referee from Albert Lea reaches milestone

Tom Jones, a longtime Albert Lea referee reached a milestone Saturday, January 8, when he officiated his 1,000th official winter basketball game since the 2009-10 season. Jones has been officiating since 1985 and now works four nights a week and also does weekend tournaments. He typically referees third grade basketball through junior varsity.
