2024 One Act Play Advance Release

Sixteen productions will take to the stage during the 2024 One Act Play State Festival on February 8-9. The festival will be held at the O’Shaughnessy on the University of St. Catherine campus in St. Paul. The Class AA productions will be staged on Thursday and the Class A performances will follow on Friday.

Here is a snapshot of the festival:

• Two schools that earned “starred performances” in 2023 return for this year’s event: Belle Plaine in Class A and Rochester Mayo in Class AA.
• Belle Plaine (Class A) leads both classes in number of appearances. The Tigers are making their 20th appearance at this year’s festival. In that time, they earned 18 “starred” ratings.
• Park leads Class AA in both number of appearances and “starred performances.” The Wolfpack are returning for their 13th appearance and are looking for their 11th “starred” rating.
• Four schools are making their debut appearances at this year's event: Avail Academy, Barnesville and Two Harbors in Class A and Performing Institute of Minnesota (PiM) Arts in Class AA.
