New Prague/TCU/LSH/Belle Plaine/Jordan and Brainerd claimed state championships during a thrilling final day of the 2025 Adapted Floor Hockey State Tournament on Saturday, March 8 at Coon Rapids High School.

CI Division

New Prague/TCU/LSH/Belle Plaine/Jordan started the second period with four consecutive goals to take a 6-3 lead and never looked back, defeating Stillwater/Mahtomedi in the CI Division championship game to wrap up an 11-0 season.

  • Each goal in the second period was scored by a different Trojan, reflecting the depth of the team. Trystan Seger, Logan Bermel, Elliot Soukup and Lorelai Hamre all found the net during that key stretch. Bermel scored a team-high four goals in the final and Soukup also had a hat trick. Bermel, Soukup and Seger were named to the All-Tournament Team presented by Trustone Financial.

  • Seger and Bermel produced clutch plays earlier Saturday as well, delivering the tying and go-ahead goals, respectively, in the Trojans' 13-11 semifinal win over South Washington.

  • The championship is the third for New Prague/TCU/LSH/Belle Plaine/Jordan, which finished runner-up last season. Its other state titles came in 2022 and 2014.

  • Mason Mora-Clark scored a title game-high five goals for Stillwater/Mahtomedi. He tallied six in the Ponies' 9-5 semifinal win over Mankato.

  • Jordan Nde's overtime goal gave South Washington a 10-9 victory over Mankato in the third-place game.

  • South Suburban defeated Dakota United 9-6 in the consolation final.

PI Division

The golden goal in a defensive battle resulted from a defensive play. Eighth-grader Eric Fordyce turned to clear the puck from his own goal line and launched it the full length of the court into the net to cap a perfect season for No. 1 seed Brainerd with a 3-2 overtime victory over No. 2 Dakota United in the PI Division championship game.

  • It's the seventh state championship for Brainerd (12-0) and fifth in the last seven tournaments, including 2023, 2019, 2018 and 2017.

  • Dakota United beat Brainerd by a goal in last year's semifinals, but the Warriors have won 13 straight games since. The teams met twice in the 2024-2025 regular season, resulting in 3-2 and 5-1 Brainerd wins.

  • Ninth-grade defender Aiden Olsen, sophomore forward Caleb Keran and junior goalie Andrew Kargel represented the champions on the All-Tournament Team presented by Trustone Financial.

  • Brainerd advanced to the title game by scoring five first-period goals — including a Josh Pence hat trick — in a 7-0 victory over Rochester earlier Saturday. Jae Bahma scored four goals in Dakota United's 9-1 semifinal win over Maple Grove.

  • A day after its first state quarterfinal win, Rochester clinched third place with a 4-3 victory over Maple Grove.

  • Minneapolis South shut out the South Suburban Flyers 7-0 in the consolation final to improve on last year's sixth-place finish.
