Adapted Floor Hockey State Tournament 2025: Key things to know

The 2025 Adapted Floor Hockey State Tournament is Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8 at Coon Rapids High School, where champions will be crowned in CI and PI divisions. Here are some key things to know.

No. 1 North seed Maple Grove enters the tournament with a perfect 10-0 record. The Crimson beat quarterfinal opponent Mankato 10-9 in last year’s consolation final, the first tournament appearance for the Knights (6-3).

Stillwater/Mahtomedi (6-2) senior Mason Mora-Clark tied a tournament record with 11 goals in the Ponies’ quarterfinal win last season. This year’s first-round opponent is Dakota United (5-4-1), a rematch of the 2024 third-place game won by the Hawks.

The No. 1 South seed is also undefeated. New Prague/TCU/LSH/Belle Plaine/Jordan (8-0) hasn’t lost since last year’s championship game. That includes a 12-4 win against first-round opponent South Suburban. The Jets (6-4) have won four straight games since.

Buffalo/Monticello/STMA (9-1) is making its state tournament debut. The Coyotes’ only loss was an 18-17 thriller against Maple Grove. South Washington (7-2) is seeking its first win at the state tournament since claiming the championship in 2019.
PI Division preview

No. 1 seed Brainerd (9-0) is the only unbeaten team in the field, coming off a third-place finish in 2024. The Warriors have allowed only six goals this season, with five shutouts. South Suburban (2-7) found the net once in their regular-season meeting, a 6-1 result.

Rochester (6-5) placed fourth a year ago. The Raiders shut out quarterfinal opponent Anoka-Hennepin (3-5-1) during the regular season by a 13-0 score.

Reigning champion Dakota United (9-3) is the No. 2 seed. Its first-round game is a rematch of last year’s final against Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound Westonka (1-9-1).
