Boys Basketball State Tournament 2024: Consolation finals

Consolation finals were determined in three enrollment classes on Friday, March 22 at the Gangelhoff Center on the Concordia (St. Paul) campus. Here is a look at those outcomes:
Class AA
- Pequot Lakes 51, Jackson County Central 44: The Patriots ended the season on a winning note with a victory over Jackson County Central in the consolation final at Gangelhoff Center on the Concordia (St. Paul) campus. Junior forward Harrison Kennen scored 13 of his 22 points in the first half to fuel the Pequot Lakes (28-5). Sophomore forward Weston Rowe had 14 points for the Huskies (22-9).
Class AAA
- Stewartville 90, Minneapolis South 48: Stewartville, unseeded to begin the Class AAA tournament, finished with two victories, including its final one of the season, a win over Minneapolis South in the consolation final. Junior guard Parker Wangen and junior forward Caleb Brancroft lead five Stewartville (28-4) players in double figures. Senior guard Tegan Malone added 13 points. Senior guard James Underwood had 13 points for Minneapolis South (22-7).
Class AAAA
- Park Center 90, Farmington 76: Park Center, which started the tournament as the No. 2 seed, rebounded from a quarterfinal upset with two victories, including a season-ending 90-76 victory over Farmington in the consolation final. The Pirates (27-4) had three players score at least 20 points. Leading the way was senior guard Casmir Chavis, a University of Washington recruit, who had 25 points. Senior guard Aidan Memene had 20 points, as did senior forward Jackson Fowlkes. Senior guard Tyler Beckwith had 18 points for the Tigers (24-8).
