Centennial 1 Rosemount 0 in Class AAA Girls Soccer Semifinal

Centennial made the Class AAA championship pairing complete with a 1-0 victory over Rosemount in the Class AAA semifinals of the Girls Soccer State Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Senior midfielder Allson Hamski scored with 41 seconds remaining in regulation time on a long-range shot to send the No. 2-seeded Cougars (19-1-0) to the big-school championship game for the second time since 2016. In 2016, the Cougars captured the Class AA crown, and in 2019, they were the Class AA runner-up to Maple Grove.

Both Centennial and Rosemount (19-2-0) each entered the game with 85 goals on the season. In a back-and-forth match that featured electric offensive plays and timely defense, overtime seemed imminent until Centennial notched its 86^th goal of the season.  Centennial mustered nine shots on goal while Rosemount had seven.
