Football Quarterfinals --- Day 1 Recap

Next steps taken toward possibly winning a Minnesota State High School League football championship were taken by 11 teams on Thursday night during Day 1 of three in the quarterfinals played throughout the state.

All four quarterfinal games were played, three were played in Class AA and two games were played in Class Nine-Man and Class AAAAAA, respectively. Nine more quarterfinal games are scheduled for Friday and eight more on Saturday completes the quarterfinal round. Next up for quarterfinal winners are the semifinals held over three days next week at U.S. Bank Stadium.
