Gymnastics State Meet 2025: Key things to know

Two new team champions will be crowned on the first day of the Minnesota State High School League's 2025 Gymnastics State Meet on Friday at Roy Wilkins Auditorium. The individual competition follows Saturday in both enrollment classifications.
NSPN.tv will have live streaming on both days. Here are five key things to know:
- Owatonna advanced out of Section 1AA ahead of reigning Class AA state champion Lakeville South. In Class A, Monticello reached the state meet for the first time since 2004 by winning Section 7A over defending state champion Becker.
- Watertown-Mayer/Mound Westonka extended its state-qualifying streak in Class A to 11 years. It was the state runner-up last season.
- Class A’s Benson/KMS Area advanced for the second time and the first since 1994.
- North Branch Area senior Dakota Esget is back to defend her Class A all-around championship. She also won the uneven bars competition and was the floor runner-up.
- Cretin-Derham Hall senior Delaney Cunningham was last year’s Class AA uneven bars champion and is the top returning all-around finisher after taking third last year.
