Perham/New York Mills’ Olsen defends Class A all-around crown
Watertown-Mayer/Mound Westonka wins Class A title

The Royals of Watertown-Mayer/Mound Westonka improved on last year’s third-place showing and claimed top honors with a score of 146.350. This was their first team championship. Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa finished in second place (146.25) and Mankato West was third (143.750). The defending champions from Big Lake placed seventh this year with a final score of 141.925.
Watertown-Mayer/Mound Westonka won the vault (37.625) and tied Mankato West for top honors on the uneven bars (35.525). Pine Island placed first in the floor exercise (37.450) and the balance beam (36.725).
Jada Olsen of Perham/New York Mills won three championships in the individual competition. It was her second consecutive title on the vault (9.875) and in the all-around (37.800). She also claimed the top spot on the uneven bars (9.675).
Sawyer Gorman of Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa and Libby McGeary of Benson/KMS were the final individual champions. Gorman took the gold in the floor exercise (9.650) and McGeary won on the balance beam (9.600).
