Lac qui Parle Valley sits atop the Class A leaderboard with a 19-stroke advantage over Park Christian at the end of the first day of competition. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River is in third place with a score of 399.
Sophomore Isabella Jacobs of Lac qui Parle Valley leads the Class A individual qualifiers with a score of 78. Senior Emily Stueland of Park Christian and junior Sarah Halvorson of Lac qui Parle Valley are currently tied at 81. Senior Alyssa Rinde of Badger/Greenbush-Middle River is third at 84.
In Class AA, Lake City is up by 16 strokes over Fergus Falls. Minnewaska Area is close behind in third place with a current score of 362.
Perham junior Mallory Belka (73) holds a narrow two-stroke lead over Lake City freshman Jordana Windhorst Knudsen in the Class AA individual event. Margaret Bahr, a senior of Cannon Falls, trails at 78.
Maple Grove (317) and Alexandria Area (319) will battle for top honors in Class AAA. Eden Prairie is a distant third at 333.
The individual competition will also be fierce in Class AAA. Roseville Area sophomore Olivia Salonek and Simley freshman Reese McCauley are currently tied at a 2-under-par 70. East Ridge senior Kyra Venne trails both by one stroke.
