Three Class A productions receive ‘starred performance’ ratings

Three Class A productions earned "starred performance" ratings at the Class A One Act Play State Festival. Belle Plaine received its 17th "star" for its rendition of Mill Girls. Sauk Centre and Dilworth-Gyndon-Felton also earned coveted "starred performance" ratings.

2022 Triple "A" Award Finalists

Congratulations to this year's Triple ‘A’ Award finalists.  They will be recognized at a banquet in March and during the Boys State Basketball Tournament.

The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, commonly known as the Triple 'A' Award, honors high school seniors throughout the state who have a 3.0 or higher-grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.

Three Class AA productions earned "starred performance" ratings at the Class AA One Act Play State Festival. Cambridge-Isanti earned its first "star" in eight appearances with its production of Aunt Leaf. Lakeville South and Alexandria Area also received "starred performances" ratings.

The curtain goes up on the 2022 One Act Play State Festival this week. The Class AA schools take to the O'Shaughnessy stage on Thursday, February 10. The Class A schools will follow on Friday, February 11.

Nordic Skiing bonds friendship, fuels competition of Diggins, Hart

Before Stillwater Area High School’s Jessie Diggins became a worldwide Olympic sensation in Nordic Skiing, she and St. Paul Academy’s Annie Hart were two of the most dynamic competitors in Minnesota State High School League competitions. In 2010, leading up to what was expected to be a dandy duel between the friends, the St. Paul Pioneer Press previewed their final high school race and then captured the most dazzling, heart-stopping finish in Nordic Skiing.
