Day 3 of the Minnesota State High School League's football semifinals was played on Friday, Nov. 18.

The Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville Blazing Cats defended their CI title after defeating Dakota United for a second consecutive year.

“These kids were going for the win. We didn't come here to tie, we didn't come here to lose, we came here to win the ballgame. And I have all the faith and confidence in these kids.”

In a battle of No. 1 seeds, Dakota United avenged its 2021 loss to Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound Westonka. The Hawks came from behind and won 4-3 in this year’s title game. 

Day 2 of the Minnesota State High School League's football semifinals was played on Friday, Nov. 18.

After winning four straight state titles from 2016-2019, being interrupted by COVID in 2020 and placing second to Minnetonka last year, Edina captured the Class AA Girls Swimming and Diving state title at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on Friday Nov. 18.

Three of the top seeds advanced to the semifinals in the PI and CI Divisions of the 2022 Adapted Soccer State Tournament. Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound Westonka and Dakota United advanced in PI and Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville advanced in CI.
